USpolicyinabigworld.com was founded by Michael Huffman in July 2009. Mike writes all the articles on the site and does his own research. He writes mostly about Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Russia.
Mike’s past experience as a teacher, his education, and foreign travels contribute to his analyses. Mike holds a Master’s degree in International Relations (National Security emphasis) and a Bachelor’s in Government (International Relations emphasis).
Mike’s recent papers have focused on corruption and, in particular, the Kabul Bank fraud. His most recent major paper, “Kabul Bank’s True Borrowers’ List”, was released in October 2013 and was the fifth Kabul Bank paper written in collaboration with “Q”, a former senior Kabul Bank official.
